My name is Megan Borgnine and I am a Real Life Housewife! I want to welcome you into our little red house and into our lives.
First let me tell you a little about myself. I am a wife, dog mom and full time hair stylist in Connecticut. This summer I married my soulmate and best friend Brien. We eloped and were married barefoot on the beach in Cape May, NJ. We love to travel the world, experience new foods and cultures. We love exercising and cheering on our favorite sports teams together. We spend a lot of time working on our own DIY projects in our little red house. We are lucky to live close to our great friends and big families, but the most important family members to us are, our Shiba Inus, Cooper and Willow. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. We love working together on different projects, and we make a great team. If I dream it, Brien helps me to make it a reality. That is how The Real Life Housewife was born!
I love to cook, decorate our home, event plan and work on home improvement projects. I pride myself on keeping a nice, cozy home that is always inviting and always having home cooked meals in the fridge. I sound like a 1950’s housewife. And while that sounds all well and good, the days of being just a homemaker are few and far between. Most people today are juggling a family, cooking, hobbies, along with a full time job, myself included. This the REAL housewife.
I love my career as a hairstylist and spend a lot of my week behind the chair, listening to my clients say “I don’t have time to cook and eating healthy is difficult” or “Decorating my home is expensive and overwhelming.” I wanted to use this blog as a way to share fast, healthy meals, DIY projects and home decor that won’t break the bank! I will share with you helpful tips and tricks on getting the most of items you have in your home already, and how to re-purpose and reuse to reinvent.
I do believe that we can have it all. It is my goal to inspire you to find the balance. Find the balance in work, home, family, and hobbies. Find the balance in creativity and practicality. Find the balance in REAL life.
